Car Parts Factory in China Exploded, 65 People Died

Beijing - A plant in eastern China reportedly exploded. Local media reported about 65 people were killed in the incident.

"More than 100 people were injured in an explosion in Kunshan, a city in the eastern province of Jiangsu," the official news agency Xinhua on Saturday (08/02/2014).

Based on the images published online, seen people with burns rescuers evacuated. They sat outside the factory compound, and treated before being taken to a nearby hospital.

While black smoke billowing above the plant. Firefighters were trying to extinguish it.

Rescue efforts are underway. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the explosion.

According to the China Central Television (CCTV), the plant was owned Zhongrong Plating. But there has been no official confirmation related to it.

The company touted producing auto parts and employs about 450 workers. Its clients include corporate giants General Motors USA.

Load state media reports, the blast occurred in the manufacture of auto parts. Where there are more than 200 workers at that time.
