ISIS Militants Destroy Tomb of Prophet Jonah

Mosul - a radical group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is reported to have destroyed the tomb of the prophet Jonah in Mosul city northern Iraq.



A security source said that the location of the ISIS group has mastered the mosque in the tomb of the prophet Jonah. They then lock all the doors of houses of worship and prohibits the entry of visitors.

"The visitors who want to pray to mosque barred," the security source said, Iraqi media reported al-Sumaria News and reported by Al-Arabiya back, Friday (25/07/2014).

Another witness explained, was originally called ISIS group of people who were praying in the mosque and pilgrimage at the tomb of the prophet Jonah to stop its activities.

The militants then fired into the surrounding firearms. Not known if there were no fatalities or not.

According to local officials, ISIS has made a mess of the mosque and tomb of the prophet Jonah. For an hour, they bombard the area known as the tomb of the Prophet who had entered the mouth of the whale.

"The worst damage in the tomb of the prophet Jonah who lived dust destroyed," the official said.



In addition, ISIS militants also destroyed the tomb of the Imam Abu al-Ila in Mosul and mosque in the district of al-Faisaliya.

Previously a member of ISIS said it would destroy the Ka'aba even if later occupy Mecca. Indonesia has also become one of the locations that were targeted ISIS.

ISIS also create a "passport Caliphate" that is destined for members and their sympathizers. The phrase "Caliph Daulah Islamiyah" listed as a carving on the top of the passport. At the bottom is written "If the passport holder is harmed, we will send armies to him."

The militant group will distribute the document to the 11,000 citizens who live in cities bordering Iraq and Syria.
