Launches Second Attack, US Military Convoy Bomb ISIS

 

Baghdad - - United States launched air strikes against militants both Daulah Islamiyah, which was formerly known as ISIS, in northern Iraq. Drone and fighter jets attacked targets in the sea near the city of Irbil, Kurdish - the same location as the first raid conducted Friday, August 8, 2014.

In this second action, as reported by the BBC, Saturday (09/08/2014), the Pentagon claimed that they succeeded in destroying the building and killing a group of militants.

The series of attacks marks the first time the United States was directly involved in military operations in Iraq since the withdrawal of American forces in 2011.
