Lupus, Immune Attack Signs Cheeks with Red Butterflies

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a disease that attacks the immune system and which occurs due to inflammation. This disease will give signs like a butterfly in the form of a red rash on the face that covers the cheeks.

Description
Lupus is an auto-immune disease due to chronic inflammation that occurs when the immune system attacks the body's tissues and organs. Inflammation will affect different body systems such as the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.

Lupus is difficult to diagnose because the signs and symptoms that often resemble other diseases caused. Signs are commonly caused rashes on both cheeks flushed face that will look like a butterfly.

Causes

Lupus occurs when the immune system attacked healthy tissue in your body as a result of a combination of genetics and environment. People who have inherited the tendency Lupus inflate when they come in contact with something and the environment that can trigger lupus.

Some triggers of lupus are as follows:
1 Sunlight

Exposure to sunlight can provide sores on the skin or can trigger the body to respond Lupus for people who are in conditions of a weakened immune system

2 Drugs

Some medications can trigger lupus such as anti-seizure medications, blood pressure medications, and antibiotics.

Treatment

Lupus healers depending on the signs and symptoms caused. Determine which drugs should be used by prescription. For example, to relieve flare, the doctor will give advice to the drug of choice and the appropriate dose.

Medications are often used to control and reduce symptoms of lupus are:

1 Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs), these drugs can treat pain, swelling and fever in lupus. NSAID side effects such as stomach bleeding, kidney and heart problems.

2 Corticosteroids, Prednisone (drug treat immune disorders) and other types of Corticosteroids may fight inflammation in lupus. But it will provide a long libertine side effects, including weight gain, easy bruising, thinning bones (osteoporosis), high blood pressure, diabetes, and risk of infection.

3 Immune suppressants, these drugs can suppress the immune system to help the Lupus serious condition. Like, cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan), azathioprine (Azasan), Mycophenolate (Cellcept), leflunomide (Arava), and methotrexate (Trexall).

Side effects of this drug is liver damage, infection, decreased fertility and cancer risk. Other drugs that can reduce the symptoms of lupus Belimumab (Benysta) and give side effects such as nausea, diarrhea and fever.
