US channeled aid to Iraqi refugees in the mountains

Three US cargo plane dropped a package of assistance to refugees in the mountains.

United States bringing food and water from the aircraft to the thousands of Iraqis who were hiding in the mountains because it avoids the militant group, said the Pentagon.

In a statement, Pentangon said the aid is delivered by a C-17 cargo aircraft and two C-130 can carry 72 overall aid package.

Help is dropped in the mountains near the town of Sinjar, where 50,000 people of Yazidi religious sect fled when militants Daulah Islamiyah - formerly known as ISIS - attacking the region.

The launch comes after the United States help make airstrike. This attack marks the first military operation in Iraq since the withdrawal of troops in 2011.
