Indianapolis - Marc Marquez welcomed the race after the break mid-season by winning the pole position at the Indianapolis MotoGP. This pole makes Marquez excited because a good result after the mid-season lull judged very important.
Pause the middle of the season for four weeks does not make Marquez slack. Repsol Honda rider was immediately seized pole with a time of one minute 31.619 seconds even though he had been inconsistent in the free practice session.
This pole also keep Marquez opportunity to maintain 100 per cent record in this season. After winning nine previous series, Marquez is now eyeing a 10th victory in a row.
"I'm happy to grab pole position, because it is important to start well after the summer break. Fundamental thing is we had a good pace for tomorrow," Marquez said as quoted by Crash.
"The choice of tires for tomorrow will also be important, especially the rear. We'll see what the temperature is and what kind of tires there we will decide what to wear."
